Luz, Eda, and King wake into illusory nightmares, which are all puppeteered by the Collector’s magic. The Collector reveals to Emperor Belos that Titan magic supersedes the Collector's, and within Belos' castle lies the still-beating heart of King's father, the Titan whose body became the Boiling Isles. Belos, still in Raine's body, convinces the Collector to play some games with Luz, Eda, and King in person, to seek the heart. As the Collector is intrigued by this outlook, suddenly, they hear a rumbling sound that resembles breathing. Despite huge critical success and a massive fanbase, The Owl House did not get a full third season order from Disney. As creator Dana Terrace revealed, it was simply because someone decided that the show did not fit the Disney brand. Whether that is because of the more serialized episodes compared to other Disney animated shows, the fact that it’s about witches and demons, or the fact it features prominent queer characters is unclear. While the teenagers safely made it to the human world, Luz’s mentor, wacky Eda the Owl Lady, and many of the adults were left to the Collector’s mercy. The third season consists of three 44-minute specials; the first and second episodes have already been released and are available to stream on Disney+ in the United States.
The trio then spitefully stomp Belos to death, ending the emperor for good. Luz then asks if trying to save their families makes them as bad as Belos, who was trying to save humanity. However, the Titan states that their ambitions don't come from the same place as Belos', who doesn't care about anything but his deluded belief he is the hero and his fear of losing control. The Owl House premiered in early 2020 and followed a misfit human girl named Luz, who found herself in a fantasy realm populated by witches and demons. Luz met kooky witch (and wanted criminal) Eda and lovable demon King and decided that even though she wasn’t born a witch, she wanted to do magic herself.
She mistakes the Titan for King at first before the Titan introduces himself as King's father and the Titan of the Boiling Isles, which leads Luz to believe that she is also dead. The Titan clarifies that Luz is only partially dead, but will die if she sinks below the waters of the realm. King then thrills Luz by sketching a different version of the light glyph and summons light. He has acquired the ability to empower the glyphs again, creating a new language of glyph magic for Luz to master. The others then join Hunter as they look coldly at Luz, distraught and heartbroken that her friends have turned against her and blame her for the situation. Before they engage, Amity declares a "witches' battle." Luz reacts in confusion—the line is from The Good Witch Azura and knowing the real Amity would never misquote a line from the series, Luz realizes the scenario is not real.
In the episode, Luz, after reuniting with Eda and King, manages to befriend the Collector and stop Belos from destroying the Boiling Isles. However, fans will likely get new information soon, as the episodes have been airing a few months apart. The Owl House is a quirky, inclusive series that follows teenager and oddball Luz Noceda. After a series of reports from her school for disruptive behavior, she is sent away to a summer camp designed to “fix” her behavior.
